well try lowering your points. eat maybe 20 or 15 points a day and no extras. and fruits have what they call GOOD calories in them so yaa eating those will do ya good.

i think its actually ok, but it doesnt go into real nutrition, just basic calories. It will help the person who eats too much or is completely unaware of what is terrible or good for you.

I do not have a success story to tell you about Weight Watchers because the same exact thing happened to me. And then one day our leader says “Well, most people who have alot of weight to lose start off pretty fast.” I DID have a lot to lose and it took me 3 months to get my 10lb ribbon so I got so discouraged that I quit. I did learn alot though about most veggies being free and stuff like that. After lots of thought I realized that Weight Watchers was kind of encouraging me to eat more than I really wanted to, just to keep up the points to where they should be.
I did it on my own with lots of support from family. I watched plain calories, started trying to move more (park the car far away, stairs etc) and always kept in mind the “free foods” that WW had taught me. In 24 months I lost 95 lbs. But W W wasn’t for me. As my stomach shrank, I didn’t want to eat more just for the sake of points.
But that is just my story. I would definitely go with servings of veggies and the way-lean protein. Have some lean protein first thing in the morning if you can, a scrambled egg white or a non-fat string cheese. This really does jump start the metabolism. End the day with some veggies. And really, don’t forget to have a “blow out day” Maybe your payday, or just Friday night. If you really really are just dying for mac and cheese with extra butter, have it then, wash it down with a glass of wine and forget the points. But then the next day get right back on. This has the added benefit of keeping your metabolism fooled and it wont go into that “starvation mode”. Find joy in your new foods, like a tomato, nonfat mozzarella and basil salad. Can you love a turkey burger with sprouts? Be proud of eating healthy and moving more. This attitude will change you and make it a healthy new habit. You will occasionally find fun support from skinny young college-aged servers who see you ordering healthy in restaurants.
With all that said I am now going to go have one of my favorite creations, cottage cheese all stirred up with diced tomatoes and bit of grilled chicken ******. Very best wishes to you and Good Luck!

My wife started WW 2 years ago. She lost 50 lbs in 6 months and has kept it off. The things that she did for success:
1. Ate all of her daily point allowance
2. Rarely ate any of her 35 bonus points (only tapping into those points for birthdays and such)
3. Exercise.
I officially started doing WW myself a few weeks ago. Last Thursday was my 3rd weigh in and I am down 13.4 lbs (following the same steps as my wife).
You definately need to be eating the fruits and veggies. Good luck!

I’m 22, 5′7″, started at 166.6 I have been doing WW for 3 full weeks and lost 11 lbs… I started with 23 points now I am allowed 22, but I very rarely use any of my 35 weekly extras. I don’t eat much fruit or veggies, some though, I eat smart ones a lot or I measure my food like crazy. good luck!

You haven’t mentioned how long you’ve been in the program. Some people lose gradually each week, others in chunks biweekly or even monthly. I would retake the points quiz if you are an online member. Also it is required to eat your daily points but you don’t have to eat all your weekly points. Some people find that if they don’t eat any of their weekly points they do better. Others find that they do better eating some. Also keep in mind that the people who lose a lot at the beginning have a lot of water weight. You probably don’t have a lot of water weight so you are probably losing just about right. Also drink LOTS of Water. If you are retaining water drinking lots of water will help losing the weight. Good luck and keep On Plan.
