Well, i'm still unsure about weight watchers.

Its good in a sense that it tricks you into eating helthily.
Like, you get to eat more food, if its healthy.
24 points a day, and all the healthy soups, veggies, fruit etc. have low points.

But things that are unhealthy have very high.
For instince, if you went out for lunch to dimaggios and you and your friends shared a pizza.

you had 3 slices.

A slice of pizza on the weight watchers diest has 8 points.

So 3 slices of pizza, and that would be it for the whole day?

I'll let you decide, i have heard goos results from it though.

Here's their site online. They're offering a free week trial:

Weight watchers is a great program. I know many people who have followed their eating plan and lost a lot of weight, and kept it off. It's also the only diet our doctor recommends for children, too.

They weigh you. then you get a set amount of points for the day. So if your for say 200lbs you get 26points a day. you get a book with point values. so like if you eat a baked peace a chicken it might be 3 points then drink juice its another 3 points. then you only have 20 points left for the day. once all your point run out you cant eat anymore that day. the first week you will loose like 5 lbs. then on if you fallow it youll loose 2lbs a week. the meetings help cause they help you stay focus.

You basically count points. There is another way by counting calories but I know the points system the best. They have all foods on a points scale. Like 1 lb of steak might be 3 points. If they haven't assigned points to the food you're eating then they have a scale where you line up how many calories is in the food with the grams of fat and the dietary fiber. This well give you a read out of points. Depending on your weight and size they will allot you an amount of points you get for the day. Most people get around 25 points. The problem I see with weight watchers is that they give people bonus points. You can bank points for the week if you go under and get an additional 3 points if you want to go over. You need to control yourself to never go over the 25 points your alloted and never to use you bank points if you want it to work.

Well, how it works is that you go and they weigh you (Or on the online version you enter your own weight) and you get a certain amount of points (Usually around 20 something) and each serving of food is a certain amount of points (You get a special scale to determine these points) and after eating you take the amount of points to food costs out of your daily amount. Those are the basics.

My sister lost 30 pounds on Weight Watchers. And she has kept the weight off. It's a change of lifestyle, not just a diet. Every food has a number of ponts. She told me that it's REALLY EASY to learn and remember the points. You can join and go to meetings, or not.

You can just buy the book and follow instructions. I think it would be really good for you. GO FOR IT!! Good luck, kiddo! :)

Every food has a points value and you are only allowed so many points per day. Its a good diet because it teaches you portion control, allows you to eat what you want and still lose weight. I recommend it.

At your first Weight Watchers meeting, you will find out how many Points you are allotted each day. Each food has a particular Points value, which you can compute with a slide tool called a Points Finder. Any food with a nutrition label can be checked for Points value, or, you can consult your welcome book's alphabetical list for certain values. You can also purchase a kit that includes an organizer, an extra Points Finder and two books that list the Points for various foods, including restaurant items.

During the week, you will record the number of Points you eat at each meal on a pre-printed food journal pamphlet. You will track what you consume as the day progresses and plan your remaining meals and snacks accordingly. The leader will most likely advise you that eating right at the minimum or anywhere below your Points range is not a good idea, because it may put your body into "starvation" mode. You will also need to check off the dairy products, veggies and fruits you eat, as well as the water you drink.
