In 2000 I lost 80 pounds on weight watchers. It took me about a month to get the points down and how to alter my recipes and about 3 or 4 months to realize that it really wasn’t about the food.
I am still at goal (I go 5 pounds either way) almost 8 yrs later and last night I had a steak and cheese sub with french fries for dinner. I have one meal a week that is whatever I want. It is just the way I stay on track the other 7 days.

Both my husband and I have done weight watchers and it worked for us. We just did it from home (no meetings, weigh-ins etc,) just followed the points program ourselves and it was great. It forces you to eat well (vegies have zero points so you can eat as much as you want). I did not have all that much to lose, but lost about 8kg in 12 weeks. The first week was hard, but then it got easy. I still go back to doing the points program every now and again if I think I have put on a couple of kgs. IT WORKS!!!! You absolutely have to stick to the number of points each day, otherwise it will not work. Exercising helps you lose the weight quicker and is beneficial for general health anyway.

It depends. It is basically making you eat healthier. If you are motivated, it is really easy. If you are thinking this is going to be a fast and easy way to lose lots of weight, then you might be disappointed. I would highly suggest doing it with someone else, that way have someone for support. If you get into it, it can actually be fun! Good luck! P.S. a good leader can really help too!

yes it does if you can stick to it. Its the counting point and measuring. But once you do it for a while you know whats high in point and low in points. I really liked weight watcher. I think youll do well

I tried weight watchers also and it worked for me. I lost 23 pounds. Two years later I’ve manage to keep the weight off. At firs it was tough, cause who wants to watch what they eat and cut back on the food they love? No one! But once you get the hang of how the points work. You learn what to eat, and how to eat healthy. But you have to do the program in order for it to work. Hang in there. I does work.
