How long would it take if I keep strictly to the weight watchers "diet" , to lose 35-40lbs? I am 5’4 and on the brink of 200lbs…(not something I’m proud of )

As I understand it, the WW points system does not directly correlate to calories. For instance, there are some veggies that obviously have some calories, but don’t carry any WW points.
You may lose a big chunk of weight in the beginning, especially if you’re not currently drinking enough water now (but begin to consume the correct amount when you begin the diet), but generally, you should expect to lose 1-2 pounds per week.
Remember, you didn’t put those pounds on overnight. If you want to lose them for good, it will take time to take them off properly, too.
maybe 3 months
