I have been on weight watchers for 6 months. I admit i have not been following the plan to detail. The fact is I lost ten pounds and I do enjoy the support, however the .00 a month could be spent on other things. What should I do ? quit and follow the plan or stay on and enjoy the support?

I think you should stick with it, assuming you actually need to lose the weight (lots of people have a poor self image). Have you introduced any exercise into your weekly routine? If not you should start off with some light exercises for 20-30 minutes 3 times a week. This will help kick start your metabolism and motivation.
My wife stuck to it through the hard times (weeks that she gained and/or cheated) and has lost around 50 lbs. Now she is a lifetime member. Maybe you should try to find a friend to join with you to help keep you motivated. It should be more about your health than the $40 dollars a month. Good luck in whatever you decide to do.

Talk to friends/family and have them be your group support. And follow the plan to detail. Quit if you can do this.
If by support you mean meetings, then yeah continue. Weight loss is not an easy thing for any of us, but it is a lot harder when you aren’t being held accountable or getting nutritional information from your leader. As for the 40 dollars a month, it’s a good investment for your health and when you reach goal – where I am – you don’t have to pay for your seat at the meetings.
If you don’t necessarily need the motivation of the group meetings then just follow the plan and skip the meetings. I heard somewhere (can’t remember exactly on the news though) that people that count their intake (everything they eat/drink) statistically loose more weight. Personally I have followed weight watchers at home and my g/f attended the meetings, she likes them and it helps her. Its really preference.
My sister and aunt have been on weight watchers for the past 4 months, my sister has lost 35 pounds and my aunt has lost 25 pounds. If you follow it correctly it will work. Dieting is hard but I think you should stick with t.
