Is Weight Watchers an Effective Diet?
i am planning to start on weight watchers with my mom and dad for our new years resolution. I was wondering if you have had success with it of anyone you know. Also any tips or suggestions. I am planning to walk a mile a day for exercise and slowly build up to more.

Absolutely Weight Watchers is effective!
I lost a little over 20 pounds on Weight Watchers.
I have been stable at the same weight for 3 years now.
The Weight Watchers program helped me to identify my bad eating habits and replace them with new good ones. I was even able to eat my own food prepared the way I like – this has been instrumental in keeping the weight off.
Weight Watchers estimates that you should be able to lose around 2 pounds per week and still stay healthy.
Your plan sounds like a good one – best of luck!
Weight Watchers has some coupons for the online program:

I lost 45 lbs on weight watchers in about 9 months. Kept it off for 7 months and continuing too. It is a life changing decision but the best decision I ever made. Congratulations on your decision.
youll get results on weight watchers but that is such a pain counting calories and all that stuff and you start seeing results slower. on new years day im going to go on the atkins diet. i really like the atkinsdiet because you lose weight fast and you can eat until you get full and you dont cout the calories!!. and you start to see results really fast!! its a good diet. look it up!! atkins.com
Weight Watchers has certainly helped a few people and is basically a calorie counting exercise. You are allocated so many points per day that equates to so many calories and that quota must not be exceeded each day. Each food is so many calories and even a glass of wine is so many calories.
You can eat whatever you like as long as you don’t exceed your daily points quota but they recommend healthy eating which you can ignore if you wish.
Yes it really is. I lost about 60 pounds using the "points system" and have kept it off for almost two years
It’s flexible, and after a while you don’t even think of points anymore, you just make healthy choices and portion your food in the right way.
And keep up the walking! That really helps weight come off. Pilates & strength training will help too.
Best Wishes!
