Is Anybody Here Using Weight Watchers to Lose Weight?
I am thinking about signing up but I have a few questions. First, how exactly does it work? What is discussed at the meetings? Do they make a meal plan for you? How do they guide you? Which plan is the best? Have you been successful and would you reccommend it? Finally, do you have any tips for a young girl that is just starting weight watchers?

Weight watchers is a wonderful way to lose weight. You attend a weekly meeting along with a weigh in. Here is how it works:
You go to your local meeting place and register. Right now it’s free! After that you pay $12.00 a week. You can pick a meeting time and get weighed in. On your first day after the meeting your leader will talk to you about the basics. There are two plans you can follow:
The Core plan
where you can eat as much of certain foods until you feel full. However this plan is quite limited.
The point system
I’m sure you have seen food that has weight watcher points on them. Basically you can eat any food you want put each thing you eat is assigned a point value. For example a serving of pretzels is 3 points. Your max point limit is determined by your weight and how much you plan to lose. usually between 22-32 points. This was my favorite plan.
If you really want to lose weight then do weight watchers… You will lose the weight.
To start go to a local meeting in your area for free by following this link…. Good Luck!
My grandma does it. It’s kinda cool , and the food is SO GOOD! Like they don’t send the food to you, but you can buy it at the grocery store. They also have a scale I saw at Bed Bath & Beyond. I don’t know what happens at the meetings, but I think they weigh you and talk about how much you’ve lost/gained and some things to help. My grandma has this ‘calculator’ card. It’s called a Points Calculator I think. See, you have a certain amount of ‘points’ you’re aloud to eat each day. It isnt a real calculator, it just calculates the food into how many points each serving is. I think it’s one of the best diets! But I’m not a diet-person, so I’m not to sure! Good luck!!
I am going to tell you the truth and it is going to be ugly. Weight Watchers and Jenny Craig sell food. That is their business. Look at your membership agreement. The counseling is conducted by bank tellers, loan officers and token vendors at chuckie cheese. That is odd to me because I can not understand why the lowest paid, least qualified people in a company are the ones that talk directly to the customer. If you are too lazy, or too busy, to cook, then subscribe. Or you could spend pennies on the dollor for "Lean Cuisine" or even better buy fresh meats and vetables and cook them yourself. That is half of the problem. The other half is exercise. You need to be active. Diet alone is NOT sustainable and you will put those pounds back on and you will feel like shit in both directions. Get active. Walk, run, play tennis, make love more often, bike. Try to get outside. It does not have to be a workout, you just have to be active. This advice has not changed in 100 years, yet I went to college to learn it. Best wishes.
