If Weight Watchers Work Than a Calorie Must Be a Calorie?
People have lost over 100 lbs doing weight watchers. They eat pizza, burgers, and choclate, and other food they love. So this has to conlcude that a calorie is a calorie correct? The key is portion size right? So if you eat chips, cookies, and junk as long as you eat it in portion size and don’t go over your calorie limit then you shouldn’t gain right? It has to be true I know people who lost 100 lbs doing so!

yes, but theres more to it than cals.
if one guy eat 1500 cals of crap a day on a diet and one guy eat 1500 cals of healthy food. The healthy food guy will lose much more.
if ur just counting cals ur not getting the whole picture
That is correct. The reason for that is that your body has to have a certain number of calories a day to run on. If you less calories than you need period, then you will lose weight, because your body has to burn energy stored in your body to make up for the extra calories needed. Low fat and low carb diets are crap, because it’s not specifically carbs or fat that make you fat, it all boils down to excess calories.
People think that eating sugar period will make you fat, it won’t. The only thing about sugar is that it’s highly addictive, so people end up ending too many calories a lot of the time. Also people’s meals are usually too large, and people seem oblivious to the amount of calories in drinks. The best thing to do is find the amount of calories you need a day and to get familiar with the amount of calories in the food that you eat. Also don’t drink drinks with calories, and try not to eat at restaurants or fast food joints, because their food is laden with calories and their portions are way too large. Also, most of the time you don’t know how many calories are in the food at restaurants. I mean if you go to a restaurant it’s possible to get like 2,500 calories in one meal if you have a big entree, drinks, appetizers/side dishes, and dessert. And then people wonder why they’re overweight/obese.
