How many Weight Watchers Points should I be Eating?

t-bone asked:

I am 27 years old, and I am 6 foot 2 and weigh 219lbs. Growing up, I could eat whatever I want, and not gain a pound. I am thinking of starting weight watchers to help with my diet. Neither myself or my wife are very good cooks, and our diets are mediocore at best. Does anyone know how many points I should be eating? Or does anyone else have an eating plan similar to that of WW?

for losing weight from 18 to 22 points per day but if you want to gain weight I think 10 more points are enough

Your number of points is based on your weight and plan stage. Their US patent filing # 6663564 shows the ranges they viewed as acceptable

    250: 28-35

For the precise number under any specific weight watcher plan you would need to look at their current materials, but this is a good guide post. Most of their current plans put 5 of the daily points into “anytime” points so a range of 18-25 is really a range of 18-20 with 5 of the points being part of your pool of 35 for the week.

Also, keep in mind 1 point is approximately 50 calories so the difference between 18-20 isn’t huge.
