I was just wondering because I was looking into it and I didn’t understand. Can someone explain as much as they know about weight watchers to me? Thank you.

eat like hell and rack up the points!
Hi Chrissy. First thing that they have you do is take a little quiz that will determine how many points you are allowed each day. Then whenever you eat something, you have to find out what the point value of that item is and subtract it from your daily allowance. When you get down to zero points you are done eating for the day.
Points are based on calories, fat and fiber contained in an item. The higher the calories and fat are the higher the points are, but fiber helps bring the number down a little lower.
There are a couple of links below that may help you. The first is an article about how to do Weight Watchers, and the second is a website that has point values for tons of items including items at restaurants. If you have any specific questions about the program feel free to contact me. Good luck!
The only thing I really remember (it’s been about 8 yrs since I did it) was that everything is given a point value and you are given a certain about points a day to go by…I don’t remember the exact numbers so don’t quote me, lol, but it’s something like this…you get 20 points for the day and like a 3 oz piece of steak is worth 5 points, so when you eat it you write in your journal and add all the points up til you get to the goal, in my example it’s 20…like I said I don’t remember exact point values and how much you get, but that’s the just of it
I also remember it being very hard to actually eat all the things that added up to the points, that was my downfall, time of the day has a lot to do with how your points follow you through out the day, like I wouldn’t eat much breakfast but by the end of the day I had like 5-10 points I hadn’t eaten, it’s really about lifestyle change more than the food itself though, so that’s why it was hard for me among other people, but I do know a lot of people that it has worked for…Good Luck
EDIT: when you go to your first meeting they will explain in great detail everything, I had been to a couple of different places for meetings and everyone was always very very nice…
