For me, the meetings work better. Having someone check your weight and others to celebrate your losses with you is a big incentive to me. It’s a weekly reminder of what I’m doing and why. People bring their kids to our meetings sometimes and nobody minds. The plan is really good, so if you decide you really can’t do meetings, then I’d do the online plan for sure. And yes, you can always show up to a meeting and pay the weekly fee.
I did Weight watchers after I had my son over 2 1/2 years ago and it works (I lost all my baby weight + 12 more). I would recommend going to the meetings because you get weighed in weekly and get to meet others that are trying to lose weight as well. Everyone motivates one another and swap recipes, recommend restaurants, and tips. It was alot of fun.
BTW, I lost 5 lbs the 1st week. And 2-3 each week after.
Weight Watchers does work, if you follow the program. The best way to do that is to go to meetings. If you commit to be there every week and get weighed in, you will learn all kinds of info that you will not find on line. There are recipes, hits, stories about what works and what did not. Also, you have a face to face support group. It is great during the meetings when they celebrate each 5 lb milestone. They recommend that weight loss be at 2-3 lbs per week. This makes it easier to do and maintain. In 3 months, you should lose about 26 lbs so your goal is very reasonable.
