I did weight watchers for a long time. They really encourage to go to the meetings(which was hard for me) its basically counting calories. Each food is assigned a "point" value. Based on your height and current weight you get a point value per day. . . say 24. You then eat during the day and when you’ve eaten all your points your are finished
The basics are that you are allowed a certain number of points per day based on your specific situation. Everything that you eat or drink has points. As you got through the day, you subtract the points you eat/drink from your allowed points. You can also gain additional points through exercise. It can be rather confusing at first.
They have an online program that I signed up for, just to see how it worked. They were advertising you could try it free for 7 days, on their website.
You’re right, it is too much information. It’s very complicated. You have to get your account up and running, you have to get everything set up the way you want it, and then you have to understand the program. Then you have to log everything you eat and all your exercise into your account on the website, and stay within their "point" system, to lose weight.
I decided it was too complicated for me to use, so I canceled. And guess what? They wouldn’t refund my money, even though I only canceled hours after signing up.
Proceed with caution.
