Do You Have to Weigh in at Weight Watchers Meetings?
My weight watchers meetings are usually on Tuesdays but I missed a few weeks.
So when I came this Tuesday I weighed in [lost 2 lbs
] and then found out they moved the Tuesday meetings to Thursdays. I had missed a few minutes so didn’t know this.
So now the meeting is tonight – do I have to weigh in again? Or can I just walk in, take a seat and participate in the meeting.

No, you do not have to ever weigh in. It is an option that no one will force. Also, about your losing 2 lbs in a week-you are doing perfect. They advise members to lose no more than 1-2 pounds a week on average because more than that means you are not getting certain nutrients your body needs on a regular basis causing it to take them from areas such as lean muscle which can lead to irreversible damage/loss to muscle tissue. Keep in mind your body naturally fluctuates because of other factors in your health, your clothes, what you just ate or your environment that may affect your weigh in to be +/- a few pounds. So you may weigh in actually gaining one pound while weighing in at 5 lbs less the following week. It doesn’t happen often but as long as it averages out over the weeks there’s still nothing to worry about. One week I thought I did extremely well and weighed in at only half a pound less but was relieved to see I’d lost 4-5 lbs the next weigh in while I was generally losing 1 or 2 each week. Just thought I’d mention it. Good luck!
