do you want to gain more fat back??? stick with it or even restrict yourself further,
Is your plateau because you are so close to your goal weight ? A plateau is not after just 1-2 weeks of not loosing, but after about 8 weeks of not loosing. If this is true, talk to your meeting leader, they should be able to offer suggestions for breaking the plateau. Some things I’ve heard was: 1. Make sure you are tracking EVERYTHING. 2. Switch things up. If you stick with the same familiar foods (i.e. cheese and apple everyday for a snack), mix it up. 3. For 1 whole week, stay away from ALL processed foods (box, can, etc.) eat all fresh or fresh frozen foods. 4. Make sure to start your day with a protein, not carbs. 5. If your evening meal consists of carbs, eliminate it.
Incentives: Look at yourself in the mirror and look back at an old photo. Wow, I’m sure you look great. Keep it going! Think about goals, not weight loss goals, but event goals. When I started, I had reservations for a cruise, which I lost 30 pounds for. Ok, now what — Family Reunion in 2 months; Mom and daughter photos in 4 months; Christmas party in 6 months; Daughters Graduation in 12 months; High School reunion in 13 months.
Good Luck – only you are in control of your thoughts and personal happiness. Your motivation comes from inside you – not from outside sources. Dig deep and pull it out – you can do it !!!
Take a picture of yourself looking bigger than you want to be. Post it on your refrigerator and/or cabinets. Also put one in your car if fast food is a problem for you. Look at it everytime you go to eat. This always motivates me to make better food choices.
Motivation comes from inside of you. You’re either motivated, or you’re not. Good luck.
