OMGosh I have had a AMAZING year of change, finding myself, becoming healthy, LIVING. So many first time things also like, towel wrapping around me, seeing my feet, shopping in REGULAR stores..NOT PLUS SIZE, and SO many more. I went from 289.8 lbs to 186.2 lbs in 1 year. 20 more lbs til goal. I feel alive and i am so happy i choose to share my journey to finding myself and becoming healthy with youtube. In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make a hearty and healthy Mexican-Style Black Bean Soup. It is made in a slow cooker from canned goods, along with a few herbs and spices. It is super easy, and makes a large amount for your family or for college students who are looking for a great meal that is easy on the budget. Ingredients: (2) 15-oz. cans black beans, rinsed and drained 7 oz. can chopped green chiles (You may use [2] 4.5-oz. cans instead.) 14 ½ -oz. can Mexican-style stewed tomatoes, chopped, but undrained 14 ½-oz. can stewed tomatoes, chopped, but undrained 11-oz. can sweet whole kernel corn with green and red peppers, drained. (You may use regular whole kernel corn.) 4 green onions, sliced 2 to 3 tablespoons chili powder (Start with 2 tablespoons, and increase as desired.) 1 teaspoon ground cumin ½ teaspoon garlic powder Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker. Cover and cook on HIGH for 5 to 6 hours. Taste for flavorings during the last hour of cooking, and adjust to your taste, if desired. You may serve this with tortilla chips, crackers, or cornbread. I served mine with Onion-Cheddar Cheese Cornbread Sticks—delicious!!! I think you will really like this warming soup during the cold days of winter! Enjoy!!! –Betty ?

So I haven’t quite managed to get rid of ALL the long weekend weight I gained, but it’s a start. I’m finding it very difficult to stay as focused as I was at the beginning, and I feel I need to change or do something in order for me to suceed. danielle here. ok, me and trish really need to get together. we’re both hitting milestones but in different sections of ny! lol. i hit my 5 lb milestone this week and was uber excited!
So I have decided not to do weight watchers anymore. I did lose weight while doing it but I didn’t feel good. I also didn’t feel like I was losing weight. My stomach felt bloated and my pants felt tight. After talking to my husband about what I should do he said “There is only one way I have ever seen you lose weight and be successful at doing it! The South Beach Diet!” I was like “You are sooo right!” Things I forgot to mention in the video… I went from 225.4lbs to 220.8lbs while on ww June 17th – June 29th The night of the 29th I decided It wasn’t the right plan for me so I was like “Oh! Diet starts TOMORROW!” I had a Mtn Dew and some smores that’s why I gained and went up to 222.2lbs the next day. I think everyone does that….”Diet starts Monday!” haha! Alright so I will be seeing you guys everyday for the next 5 days! I am also going to my last 2 weight watchers meetings. I paid .95 for a monthly pass and I might as well go if I’m paying for it!
Hey guys! I did this video on Tuesday, but wasn’t able to upload it until Wednesday!! Sorry for the delay. Usually I will be uploading my updates on Monday. I had another great weigh in. Weight: 208.5 Lost 2.2 !!! I was away from home for the weekend and was worried I would get sidetracked and get off plan. BUT, I was actually thinking about “the big picture”, and my final goals and was able to stay on track! The iphone Weight Watchers app really saved me a couple of times.
